Celebrate this year’s Beyond the Book selection at the Mooncake Festival Oct. 3-4.
Explore themes of “Interior Chinatown” by Charles Wu through book and film clip discussions and speed poetry, and enjoy crafts, mooncakes and other treats.
The festival is drop-in style and open to all. It takes place Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon and on Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 2-4 p.m. on the second floor of the TLC Building (Technology Learning Center) at the corner of Shiawassee Street and Capitol Avenue.
Chinese culture celebrates a mid-autumn festival every year connected with the full moon, thus the celebratory mooncakes.
